TLK: LINCOLN CASTLE
Rachel cooks up Hay-Baked Leg of Lamb, Braised Lettuce and a Cherry Meringue Flan in the grounds of the historic Lincoln Castle, after visiting Tori & Ben’s Farm (Diseworth) Stem Gold Peas (Louth), and Primrose Hill Free Range Eggs (Wragby).
In this episode, Rachel visits Hammond Produce Ltd. (Redhill), Freshgro (Newark) and Croft Apiaries (Bishop Norton), before creating Traditional Faggots, Potatoes with Smoky Bacon Lardons and a Honey, Bramley Apple and Almond Cake in the Local Kitchen.
Rachel is joined by Ian Matfin of the New Inn, Great Limber, and cooks up Saddle of Venison, Asparagus with Fried Duck Egg and Toasted Sourdough, and an assortment of Strawberry Desserts. Ian visits Fen Farm Venison (Sleaford), Braders (Fulstow) and Abbey Park Farms (East Heckington).

EPISODE 1: CHRISTMAS DAY
Rachel visits T.H. Clemets & Sons (Boston), The Oldershaw Group (Spalding) and Woodlands Organic Farm (Boston), and makes a traditional Christmas roast turkey with Stuffed Onions and Roasted Brussels Sprouts, with all the trimmings.

Rachel shows us what to do with those Christmas Day leftovers, starting with a Boxing Day Brunch, with sausages from Boston Sausages (Boston), followed by a Crunchy Peanut Butter Turkey Curry using balti paste from Mr Huda’s Surma Secrets (Scunthorpe), and a Pea soup with Pancetta Cream with peas from Yes Peas! (Louth).

Rachel prepares for her New Year’s Eve party with Traditional Grimsby Smoked Salmon Blinis, Tomato and Lincolnshire Poacher Cheese Cheese Galettes, Carpaccio of Lincoln Red Beef, and Chocolate ganache Meringues, visiting Alfred Enderby (Grimsby), Sunnyside Up Farm Shop (Market Rasen) and Somerby Vineyard (Somerby).

The Local Kitchen heads to Wetherby Food Festival in these three ‘bitesize’ specials. Lee Rushforth, Head Chef at the Old Deanery, makes a succulent Yorkshire Honey Glazed Pork.
In this ‘bitesize’ show, Joel Arnold, a contestant on Masterchef series 10, creates a delicious summer fruit creme patissiere tart in the grounds of Wetherby Food Festival.
Stephen Bulmer, Chef Director of the Swinton Park Cookery School in Ripon, takes to the Local Kitchen at Wetherby Food Festival and cooks up meatballs with a spicy tomato salsa and deep fried courgette flowers.
